Interesting point however it doesn't stand the acid test of A/B testing: Conversion rates for product pages that display video have been consistently proven to outperform identical product pages where the video was absent.

Cheers,
Mike

While it is in my personal best interest to advocate and perpetuate claims that video increases sales (which I do believe it does!) I must play the devil's advocate here and comment that though conversion rates are shown to increase with those who watch a product video, it may simply be that those consumers were already more inclined/interested in the product and likely to buy anyway - as evidenced by their spending the time to watch the video... just a thought.

Keep up the great article writing though! Love your blogs and Treepodia is a great service!

Clearly your open minded and receptive to other ideas. Many people in the online community are a little more totalitarian. bookmarked well done Of course-- and I probably shouldn't even have to say this-- people are free to run their own websites as they see fit. But I get the highest value from blogs where either the author's writing is so outstanding that the lack of comments isn't material a combination of good writing and good comments leaving my personal Research weblog if you dont mind wael kfoury
